Team Staff
Bobby Reggiani - Head Coach
Bobby has played baseball his whole life, playing 2 years at Gavilan College and later 2 years at Sonoma State University. After his playing days, Bobby coached 9 years for the Gavilan College baseball team. Later, he transitioned to softball where he spent 6 years coaching at the youth competitive softball level. In Fall 2014, the Buzz welcomed Bobby to our program and we are excited to have him coaching our student athletes. |
Jen McBain - Pitching Instructor
During her playing years, Jen McBain was an accomplished pitcher at San Benito High School, Gavilan Rams Community College and Fresno City Rams college. Over the last decade she has transitioned into a head coach and pitching instructor. She has coached 3 years at the high school level and 6 years and the youth competitive level. Her instructional style is to learn the uniqueness of each student athlete and maximize her effectiveness on the field while teaching life lessons to carry with them off the field. She teaches the importance of both mechanics and mental aspect of being a pitcher. The Gavilan Buzz is excited to have her on our coaching staff. |
Sharon Niehoff - Batting Instructor
Sharon played softball for four years at San Jose State University. She was a starter in left field and lead the team in batting average her senior year, earning her NCAA Division 1 All American honors. After college, Sharon continued with her love of softball as a coach for several local A ball clubs clubs including Twincreek Diamonds, Los Gatos Magic, and most recently, Spirit of Morgan Hill, and Gilroy Chaos. She brings a wealth of knowledge about the game, especially in the area of basic hitting fundamentals. |
